If you received an email with a login link from Portable North Pole that you didn't ask for, you're in the right place. This is a common situation, and in most cases there is no cause for concern.
How signing in to Portable North Pole works
Portable North Pole doesn't use passwords. When you want to sign in, we send a one-time link — called a Magic Link — to your email address. Clicking that link from your inbox is what actually signs you in.
That means only someone with access to your email inbox can sign in to your account.
Why did I receive this email?
A login email is sent automatically whenever someone enters your email address on the Portable North Pole sign-in page. It could be:
- You, from another device or browser
- Someone who typed your address by mistake
- Someone who entered your address on purpose
In every case, no one has accessed your account simply because the email was sent.
Was my account accessed?
No — not just because you received the email. A Magic Link only signs someone in if they:
- Have access to your email inbox, and
- Click the link inside that email.
As long as your inbox is secure and you didn't click the link, your Portable North Pole account is safe.
What should I do?
If you didn't request this login email:
- Don't click the link. Just ignore or delete the email — the link will expire on its own.
- Keep your email account secure. Your inbox is the key to your Portable North Pole account, so:
- Use a strong, unique password for your email
- Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) if your email provider offers it
- Watch for unusual activity in your inbox
- Contact your email provider if you suspect your email itself may have been compromised — they can help you lock it down.
Tip: is this really a login email?
If you're not sure whether the message is a login email or just a newsletter, look for a one-time link or button that says something like “Sign in” or “Log in.” Marketing and product emails from us never include a sign-in link.
